The shape of it

Most couples fly into the Serengeti for four or five nights in an intimate tented camp, often one with private plunge pools and dinner served on your own deck. A bush flight then takes you straight to the coast.

On Zanzibar we favour the quieter east and north coasts and private villas with staff. For more seclusion, Pemba's forest-fringed beaches or Mafia's marine park.

How long should a safari and beach honeymoon be?

Ten to twelve nights works well: four or five in the Serengeti by air, then five to seven on the coast.

Can you arrange a proposal?

Yes. We plan it with the camp in confidence, from the setting and the timing to a photographer, and keep your partner in the dark.

What does a Barafu Luxe honeymoon cost?
