Mount Meru by helicopter
Breakfast in a volcano
Lift off from Arusha at seven. Circle Mount Meru over ancient forest and moss-hung heather, then land on the Ash Cone inside the crater, at about 3,700 metres, for breakfast facing Kilimanjaro.
Mornings are clearest; clouds usually gather on the peaks by mid-morning. In the afternoon, a sundowner landing at Rhino Point looks west over the Rift Valley as the sun sets, with Kilimanjaro behind you.
The whole outing takes three to four hours, with about an hour and a quarter in the air. Oxygen is carried on every high-altitude flight.

Zanzibar and Pemba
Land at your resort
A licensed helicopter service on Zanzibar flies from the airport to landing sites at leading resorts across Zanzibar and Pemba, and to Dar es Salaam. A few minutes in the air instead of the long drive across the island.
Add ten or twenty minutes of scenic flying on the way, or take a full day: a dive trip to a remote reef, a scenic flight over the sandbanks, or a safari on the mainland.

On the water
A catamaran of your own
Private crewed catamarans from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar, for ten to twenty-five guests. Sail for a sunset, spend the day between islands, or live aboard for a night or two.

Questions
How many guests fit in a helicopter?
Up to four for the high landings on Mount Meru, and four to six for Zanzibar transfers, depending on the aircraft. Larger groups fly in two or three helicopters together.
What luggage can I bring?
About 15 kg per person in a soft bag. Hard cases do not fit; we send the rest of your luggage ahead by road or boat.
Are prices per person?
Helicopters and catamarans are priced per aircraft or per boat, not per person, so the cost is shared across a family or group. Your concierge quotes the current season.
